This epiphytic or occasionally lithophytic orchid grows in
the rainforests around Brisbane. It often forms large clumps
covering the tree trunks.
This orchid has pseudobulbs to 12mm by 16mm with usually 2 leaves to
15cm by 15mm. The flower stem grows to 20cm with up to 20 yellow
green flowers. The flowers are about 15mm across with a wedge shaped
labellum.
Liparis coelogynoides can be easily separated from other similar
Liparis by its weakly bent labellum. |
