North Moreton Species AppreciationNorth Moreton Species Appreciation meetings are held every two months and are for people who enjoy orchid species. People attending can bench plants which are not judged but the growers will briefly speak on each of their plants benched. There is no formal meeting or business and no membership required, but this gathering is just for orchid growers to enjoy species orchids. After the 'meeting', attendees can socialise over a light afternoon tea.
Meeting Dates for 2010
Pictorial RecordA pictorial record of species benched at 'meetings' is produced and available for viewing by all. The pictorial records are Acrobat documents (PDF's). To download your photo record to your computer, right click on the meeting and select 'Save Target as' and follow the prompts to save on your computer. Alternatively, you can left click on the pictorial record of your choice to open the newsletter within your browser. After viewing the pictorial record in your browser, you can click on the save button in the Acrobat toolbar to save a copy to your computer. From 2010, the pictorial record will contain 'orchid commentary' notes provided by the orchid grower. Thank you to these growers for providing these notes and thank you to Graham Corbin for providing these photos and compiling this record. These photos remain copyright of Graham Corbin and may not be reproduced without permission. Contact Kabi for more information.
DisclaimersThe photographs included have been reduced in size and quality to limit the document to a reasonable size. Names used in these documents are the tag names from the orchid pots corrected for spelling. The species names may not necessarily be correct. All efforts are made to correct names where the tag name is obviously not that of the orchid benched. Due to time and other issues, not all species benched may be photographed or included in these records but this is not due to the quality or otherwise of any orchid benched. Viewing SoftwareYou will need software to view these files. Most computers will already have viewing software, but if you do not, the most common "free" PDF viewer is Adobe Acrobat Reader ( any recent version will do ) and can be downloaded from:- http://www.pacific.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
