| This deciduous terrestrial orchid grows in grassy forests and woodlands. Its yellow flowers are easily seen above the grass when in
flower.
Its grass like leaves grow to 35cm long. The flower stem grows
to 45cm tall with up to 9 30mm yellow flowers.
This orchid is identified by the twin divergent ridges on the base of
the labellum, a flat round labellum midlobe and short narrow lateral
lobes. No other Diuris has the very short narrow lateral lobes of this
species. |
