| This terrestrial orchid grows in moist areas in the open eucalypt forests around Brisbane. The
non-flowering rosette has up to 6 stalked leaves to about 40mm by 20mm.
The plants which flower do not have rosettes, but have a flower stem to 35cm tall
with up to 6 stem bracts. The flower is
green with white stripes to about 18mm tall and is very thin when viewed
from the font.
This species can be readily identified by the leaves up the flower stem
and its green and white flowers which are often laterally compressed.
This species is very similar to Pterostylis
obtusa but can be distinguished by the labellum protruding well
beyond the sinus. |
