| This epiphyte generally grows on twigs on trees in rainforest or moist
forest around Brisbane. Its roots form a tangled mess giving rise to its
common name of tangle roots.
This orchid will grow up to 20 leaves about 10cm by 1.5cm on its
stem. The flower racemes grow to about 10cm long with up to 15
flowers. Each flower is about 8mm across with white labellum and
green or brown petals and sepals.
The only other similar orchid is Plectorrhiza brevilabris which
does not have the finger like projection above the labellum and has a
prominent descending white spur. |
